Fear or Freedom

Seize the time, 
Time that is essential,
To spread the messages of 
Freedom and Fear

Fear in the hearts of 
The Free Thinker is, Freedom,
In the hearts of those who
Fear freedom 

Act now, 
Now that one can, 
Before the fear seizes,
Seize the population for your
Cause and message

The race of fear,
The change of freedom,
Free your mind
From the Fear this creates

Speak freely, without fear
But be careful of those who do fear,
The acts of a free thinker
For, Freedom in the wrong hands,
Shouldn't lead to Fear in the right ones.

It is described to have 'spiky grass' and a 'narrow broken path'. It is also mentioned that the country is 'strange and dangerous'. Coromandel Fishers by Sarojini Naidu

Hello! For this post I will be exploring another poem written by Sarojini Naidu, called "Coromandel Fishers". This poem can be taken as an allegory, for although it speaks to fishermen, it's metaphoric value speaks to the nation, and can be considered a wakening call for the people of our country. When I wrote about "In the Bazaars of Hyderabad", I mentioned that Sarojini Naidu was one of our freedom fighters, and believed greatly in the Swadeshi movement. Naidu reflects her passion for India in this poem.
